Was going to ask if you guys found the dragon you were hunting ?
Huge Congrats, Roger !

Doug :)

I imagine it was found, slain, and barbecued. :]

^^^ Ryan and Roger are BOTH big guys. ;)

Sam, however, is a MONSTER.

Al Dodge, thanks for your visit and these photos! Even one from our apparently unattended table at the studio. LOL!

Good thread!

We did find ya..... you was busy................ eating dinner. :D:thumbup:

It was nice meeting you Jim -

Great show, I don't believe I've seen a larger crowd at Blade.
Al, I really enjoyed our conversation.

Kevin, same here, even though it was brief, I enjoyed it also.
Had a few other brief encounters with other forum members - it was great, I had a lot fun.

This is my better half (Kay) elevating the aesthetics of my table and assisting me to greet my visitors. I would be lost without her.

Speaking of visitors, this guy honored me by stopping in and sharing a photo. Steve Johnson. One of the best in the business and has helped me over the years with his generosity and kind words. It's much appreciated.

My table just before show time. And a couple of my neighbors. Karl Andersen and Brion Tomberlin.

Thanks for all the pics, Lin. Kay is a real treasure, not that I'm telling you something you don't already know.

Here's another picture of Claude Bouchonville's table. And the knife I purchased from him.

This Ron Swartz of KME Sharpeners. He and I have been acquainted through traditional bow hunting. He has developed a very nice sharpening system that can accommodate about any edge and about any size blade including tiny pen knife blades, serrated edges, convex edges, broad heads, and even ceramic blades.

Roger that Maximus looks like it belongs in your hand! Sweet score!
Wow, double congrats on those scores. Test or not, Sam's knives went fast and I was fortunate to grab the Damascus Maximus. The subhilt was pretty sweet as well. I know he will be back next year ready to test.

Did anyone snap a pic of the blade Sam is holding in his right hand? I think it's the far left model in the first pic. I'd love to see the whole thing. I'm going to have to check Joe's video's again to see if I missed it the first go around.

Thanks!

^^^ You know I meant to ask him about that is it was really a cool-looking piece and I wanted to hear the back story. But it slipped my mind.

This one jumps out. I like the shape of handle and blade and the finish is outstanding too.
Does Claude Bochonville have an online store? Just wanted to get some idea on his pricing and see what else he has.

I don't see an online store but he's easily reached on his FB page. Prices are very reasonable.

Is it cable damascus and does the handle look..long ?

Doug

I does look long, but I think it works with this blade. It wasn't in the videos, so I'm hoping someone garbbed a picture before it went home with the lucky new owner.
