Blade Show 2024 Atlanta

I've always found there was something for everyone at the Blade show, as in a full range of prices. Between travel, hotel and table rent its really expensive to set up at that show. I'm surprised many do it every year.
part of those costs for a business is tax deductible still, I'd guess ......

I only picked up a Kershaw BS 9000 at the Diskin booth, and renewed my kniferights membership.

Only drove down for Friday, was a good show, easy entrance and registration with online will call tickets.
Parking g is always a mess, the galleria hotel has finally blocked off hotel parking so guests with rooms can park, a complaint of mine for years.

There wasn't much "penguin walking" needed on Friday, good crowd but not a crush.

On day 2 I picked up:

LT Wright Frontier Valley in A2

& a beautiful medium knife from Moenning Custom Creations with a stained A2 blade. The sculpted handles are made of what he called Veridian Grip Tec. It has a unique grippy textured feel to it but isn't soft. My pictures aren't capturing the deepness of the green in the handle.

Just got home from blade. Great show! Mustacheben Mustacheben is right, the gems are found in the tables. Was blown away by Richmade knives. His designs are unique and really stood out to me. They definitely won’t be for everyone but I really liked them and grabbed 2 that I could actually carry and use. His Ratchet will be next and if ya don’t know, check it out.

Nice grabs Mitch! I feel silly we should have all met up somewhere. The service in there is so bad it’s hard to get a call or text out but next year we need a better plan lol

Often times deals are made off the show floor over a glass or two of bourbon (or other libation of choice) in "the Pit." The venue also allows customers to get to know the makers in a more relaxed setting. Made many friends in the community in the pit (or over a cigar outside) that way.

I walked through there on Friday for a bit but didn’t jump in to meet anyone new. Wished I had, but didn’t see an opportunity to spark up a convo with new people after a long day. I saw a bunch of guys with their collections (or partial collections) out and talking knives that would be fun had I not flown.

Thanks bro, would have been nice to meet up. Was a pretty hectic trip for us. Would like to do a night at the pitt next year. Did end up getting to have beers with Edmund Davidson. Since I’m not a fixed blade guy I didn’t know who he was until we started talking. We had quite a few beers and he ended up pulling out a bunch of his knives. It was my first time really checking out integral fixed knives. They were not only stunning but incredible! He not only makes amazing knives but is a super nice guy.

Well call it beginner’s luck I had an awesome experience for my first time actually attending Blade. Two great lottery custom Emerson’s, a Kershaw, and Steel Flame Crusader Eclipse. My son actually gifted me the custom CQC7 he scored at the Emerson lottery for Father’s Day so that’s real cool. He scored some great ones as well. Also had the great pleasure to meet people I had been on the forum with for years and some really classy vendors that were all top shelf. In all something we intend to do again next year.
