Hey Lion's Roar.
Glad to see you'll be able to make the show!

Kamkazmoto, will this be your first Blade Show?

Hey Lion's Roar.
Glad to see you'll be able to make the show!

Kamkazmoto, will this be your first Blade Show?

Yep, my very first. Been to blade show west when it was in LA and to some local shows but this is my first trip to the granddaddy of them all. I'm really looking forward to it.

Excellent!!!

Are we having dinner again?????

O.K.
The four annual Blade Show dinner is herby announced. :D
Four years? Is that right!?
The first year was Dan Koster, Lions roar, mark nelson, my wife Jessica and myself.

When....well Saturday looks good for most of us.
At the end of the show on Saturday we meet at Dan's table (23-B) and work out who's got wheels and who needs transport.

Where.... I really want to go to Fogo de chao again. :D
Here's the info for those who've never been to this place.

warning, it is expensive but it is wonderful.

Anyone up for that?
It's about 10 (?)minutes away.
We usually carpool...that has always worked well.
Feel free to invite friends but I'll have to know how many for the reservation.
They also wont seat until everyone in the party is there...don't be late.

If there is some other place or time you'd prefer feel free to post.
This is not set in stone...

This is a great time to meet and have some fun. Bring what you've bought at the show or made. It's always fun to see the patrons reactions.:) The first time we whipped out a foxy folly was priceless. It was kinda strange since the fogo servers all had knives...albeit not nearly as long or pretty.
So anyway post so I know you want to go and where you'd prefer.

I'm good for Saturday night!

I do believe my wife plans on joining us!

I'm also good for Fogo's...she's never been and I think would enjoy the experience.

I'll just say this...every other place we've gone....we've had "complications"....Fogo's....smooth as silk and a heckuva good time!

And I plan on bringing my bag of goodies....(non knife stuff)...!!!

Don't worry...it's all legal...but it still might get some raised eyebrows. :D :p

There's also Ray's on the River - also pricey, but also excellent...with plenty of large tables.

But there's nothing like Fogo's....think of how much you'd pay to get into Six Flags....or a night on the town...it's definitely an "experience".

Without a doubt fogo's is not your standard saturday night out to Chili's!!
If you've never been there you won't forget it, if you have been there you can't wait till the next time!

I was definetly not happy with the way things went last year.:(
The whole wait staff had quit 2 days before...new wait staff (understaffed) on the one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Dan, I'm glad you'll be joined by the missus. And if you have something ummm not quite legal, just slide it over to me.

How far away is ray's on the river and what's their menu like?

Here's some info on Ray's on the river.

Looks like they're closed for renovations but will be open before Blade.

They only serve "same day catch" seafood...and only a la carte (no sides). The food is incredible...I guarantee you've never had anything like it. Don't know how else to describe it.

And it's much closer than Fogo's...can't remember exact directions (try google maps) but I remember it being a 5-10 min. drive.

I'll go anywhere you guys choose. Fogo's sounds fine with me.

John. So excited that you might come!

fogo is good but then so is outbacks whatever ...we do have Friday and sat night and we do need to eat

also I have a rental car and would be glad to gives those that need it a ride again this year...and thats good for Pirtates ..buckaroos... cantina folk...ramonon...JD etc...

Aziz, I call shotgun!

of course we'll probably get together on friday and maybe even sunday for dinner.
I have no problem with people from other forums joining us for dinner. I don't see any reason for it to be BF only. Anyone else have any input? Yes/no.

Here we are last year....right to left
Fiddleback/andy, Aziz , dan koster, lions roar, and Bamboo.
Sorry Bamboo, took me awhile to remember your name. I remembered where you were and that you were studying cabinetry and you bought a bowie by Heaven and a small fixed by arno bernard before I remembered your name. LOL

I stayed the last two years at the Homewood suites its around the corner north about 3 blocks . Its a very nice apartment seperate kitchen fire place and free breakfast. Cost around $110 this year but this late they all will cost that much. There will be some others there attending the show.
