Angelus leather dye colour Tan..2 coats..very easy to apply...I love the result...darkened the pasty white bits with a nice golden hue....I mostly like that its kept the colour difference at the bolsters .
Cheers.
These two are pretty different, but they're probably my favorites so far. No shade on any of the others here, but these two are like farmers. Out standing in the field. Really incredible work!

It was very simple...
Washed it in warm water & washing up liquid.
Dry.
Cover all work surfaces.
Apply Angelus dye with provided sponge applicator.
10 min in the sun to dry.
Wipe off excess from metal parts...
Repeat.

Tip: wear examination gloves to prevent dyeing your hands🙄

Looks great Meako. Does the dye rub off at all on your hands after it has cured into the bone? I wasn't sure if a clear coating overtop was necessary or not.
IME, most leather dyes are alcohol based so once it's dried and any excess surface dye removed by a wipe down with rubbing alcohol on a cloth, I've noticed no color transfer. Depending on how liberally you apply the dye, it can work its way into any seams, which is harder to remove and may transfer to your hands during use due to squeezing the knife and forcing residue out. I finish with a thin coat of wax or mineral oil, but that's just to make it shine, not to prevent dye transfer.

Nice, that makes sense. I haven't dabbled in re-dying bone. But I'm sure I'll give it a whirl at some point. Thanks for the explanation.
