BladeForums 2024 Traditional Knife

Added static order link in FAQ section since people keep dismissing the notices and then ask how to restore them - https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/

UPDATE 12/6: GEC has shipped first two batches to me, expected to arrive here next week. Orders are now back open, if you don't see the announcement at the top go to your profile and reset notices

UPDATE 8/29 pt 2:
View attachment 2648974

We now have a render with handle material AND nail nicks for the people who demanded them (some of you are so unreasonable, psh not wanting to pinch the knife open). Shield design is not final.

Almost 200 knives sold.
Preorders will stay open until all are sold or the knives arrive, whichever comes first

UPDATE 8/29 - PREODERS ARE LIVE, SEE ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE TOP OF THE FORUMS.

If you accidentally closed the announcement, go to https://www.bladeforums.com/account/preferences and click "Restore dismissed notices"

edit - Well I'm friggin incompetent and 50 of you got your orders in for the knives when they were worded 2023 instead of 2024. That's too many to refund immediately so I am just going to cross my fingers and hope you guys understand that clicking on the announcement for the 2024 knife with it being 250 and a preorder is for the 2024 knife and not the 2023 version

We've gotten word back from Bill & crew at GEC about the 2024 Traditional Forum Knife

This is a RENDERING of the SHAPE of the knife. Handle material color, stamp, shield will be determined ASAP.

Thanks to inflation, my cost on these has increased by over 50%. I will eat as much of that as I can for preorders but we are looking at a substantial increase in price. Non-preorder pricing will be $300 ea or more.

Pre order pricing will be around $250, shipped to CONUS. International was a mess last year, we'll see how that plays out this year.

I will put pre order buttons up ASAP.
Hey, last night I placed an order for one of these inadvertently. Had multiple tabs open and maybe a whiskey or two. 🤦 Sorry to be a bother but is there any way to cancel that pre-order? Woke up this morning seeing the transaction and was very confused. Thanks.

New pic of today's carry, #133.

I've always like big stock knives. A Clip big enough to handle anything that comes along and the combination of secondaries for every situation.
I bought this Case in 1970 and carried it alone, everyday for at least 25 years.

Seems to me that with a lot of folks as they get a little age, their pocketknives get smaller. While I do appreciate even a small peanut, the big Stockman is where my hearts at. So I was excited when last years forum knife was announced. Since Spark decided to have the Forum knife numbered I've requested # 406 as it is the area code where I live. When it arrived I wasn't real thrilled with the coloring of the bone. Mine was really light even in the jigging, so I figured oh well just keep it as a safe queen like my other Forum knives. Then when Spark went back to the $250 price and still had a bunch left over I decided to order a second one and try my hand with the leather dying process I've been read about here on BF. Some of the Forum knives that people like Travman Travman have posted look just Great! Not that Travman uses leather dye.
Anyway when the new one arrived it had really good color so I decided to dye the #406. Unfortunately I neglected to take a before dye pic but I did take a couple of the replacement #306.

So here is my dye job, the pile could use a little more but it's good enough to go to work!
