BladeForums 2024 Traditional Knife

Hello Spark Spark

Ok, better late than never I guess.

Is there any way please, any possibility you have any left..........that I can purchase, and, you'd be prepared to send to UK.....?
He was good to go a couple weeks ago. I got two more.

Great knife! Love the size and shape and color. It's quite tasty 😋

Supply and demand I suppose. Missed the addressable market. A GEC 15,77, or 86 would have been a safe bet. Or even the 88s like GEC did for a facebook knife club would have done well.

Or, perhaps, there could be a manufacturer selected that did not force a batch size that is too large for the forum. As just one example, the Buck BCCI 2025 annual (501 Squire, brass bolsters, burgundy micarta) is a limited edition of only 90 knives.

Do we know how many 2024 units are left? I could volunteer as tribute to purchase one if it means a 2025 knife..

Seeing how lots of SFOs are around 100 for retailers or other clubs, I think the batch size choice was ours to make and I am imagining that it was just a repeat of previous years.

Where can you buy any new GEC knife from an authorized dealer, or an SFO from the dealer who commissioned it more than 5 minutes after it gets released? Okay, 5 minutes is a little quick on some knives so lets say 5 days. This one is over a year old.

As I type this there are 11,600+ people on this forum. I don't think it's the quantity produced. Also, do you know for sure that GEC forced the batch size?. I don't want to name anyone in particular but some of the most sought after SFO regulars are getting runs a fraction of this size.

The scales were a weak (and insulting, IMO) effort by GEC. That is the main reason it didn't sell well after the blind-buy pre-order was over and open sales started.

Couldn't agree more, pathetic scales, hate everything about them except that they are bone. GEC does make the occasional butt ugly knife and they all sell out quicker than a knife fight in a phone booth so I don't think it's that. Not just that anyway.
