BladeForums 2024 Traditional Knife

And it looks perfect next to a pristine vintage Coleman🏕️

Thank you! The lantern was a gift from my late neighbor Helen and her family, it was purchased in the mid 60’s and was only ever fired once, well twice now since I had to clean it up and lube the original leather cup which still holds pressure just fine! It spent its whole life in the basement just waiting to be put on display!

(The gun cabinet I have it hanging in was built by my wife’s great uncle in 1963)

Welp didn’t get everything shipped today. Still have 2 Canada, one France and one Sweden that the shipping service are rejecting. Since I don’t ship overseas pretty much ever this IOSS and VAT nonsense are aggravating. I’m trying to figure this out. Canada is much easier - USPS isn’t shipping there bc of Canada post issues.

Besides the (known) international ones, there's still 16 or so orders I haven't processed yet. With the post office closed now and the expected ice storms / winter blast due tomorrow, these may not go out until later next week. Thanks for your patience.

Many thanks to Spark Spark and meako meako for the 2024 BF knife. Just arrived and it's a superb example from GEC. Well done, and thank you for your efforts putting this all together. I know these annual mass orders can be quite a challenge. It is appreciated. Happy New Year.
Let me make this clear to everyone....it is Kevin Spark Spark who does all the work.
I reckon it would be like to a high wire act ...the decison making alone and then liasing with GEC with the added pressure of time....the only safety net....a few diehards who hold the blanket by coughing up the dough early....terrifying if you think about it...for a normal person but we are in the presence of ...in a word A Hero.
As for my humble self I merely make up stories based on the Porch conversation in the lead up to the forum knife ( checks back of hand and manicure)...I admit
Tis not an easy task...more of an adventure in journalism if you will...I throw in a few tech details to describe the knife and Yes ..I'll be honest...condensing it all into some 200=215 words is very difficult...it takes a lot of time,a lot of skill,a lot of careful thought and a tankerload of beer....But you know..in my own unfailingly modest and self deprecating way....Yes I do believe that my efforts have helped keep the annual Porch knife tradition alive ...aside from all that metal grindiing, bone jigging cutlery stuff.

I have my shipping label. Yay! But, like Spark, I have my own international shipping delays. Mine is safe heading to Texas, but that's to my Escapees RV Club mail forwarding/scanning service address. Once it arrives, I'll need to have them hold it for a bit and then forward it on somewhere. I'm just not sure where that is yet as I change countries in a couple of weeks and which one isn't set yet. I like what I've seen in the photos so far and am looking forward to getting it in my hands. Thanks for all of the hard work bringing this together.

Kevin, please do some live streams again when sanity settles into the Loo.
Those were fun.

If you want to send the France one to my APO I'll either deliver in person or have the local post do it. I'm only 30 minutes from the border and go into France often.

I hesitate to bring it up, but it's an open secret that the knives are just a way for the common folk to own a genuine Meako back label. My secret's been out for a while, I'm also a back label writer. Anyone ever buy one of those bags of muddy golf balls at the golf course? Yeah, that's one of my labels. There are several of us here, and I won't force them out of the shadows. The one thing we all agree on is that there is no back label like a Meako back label.

He has reminded us on many occasions that he is a humble yet heroic presence among us. He can shift effortlessly from the back cover of Treasure Island to the last page of the Mahindra Loader Operator's Manual, "Do not park the loader on operators' foot."

A status update is not yet available on your package. It will be available when the shipper provides an update or the package is given to USPS. Check back soon.
I got my Pre Shipment notification and tracking number on December 30, but so far it hasn’t been scanned anywhere by USPS. I hope USPS hasn’t lost it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
