77, I remember when it was great to have a non-party line phone never mind an internet knife forum. Knives mostly came from Sears, Montgomery Ward or Western Auto, all gone now.
Yup. I'm not that old, but I do have a Montgomery Ward Model 600 shotgun that was my grandfathers (Mossberg 500 made for them).

I do miss the days of waiting for the SMKW catalog to come in the mail, as well as Cabela's.

Funny, playing with those toys shown are a big reason my knees, elbows and back are in pain every day, haha!

All in how you use them

Yeah, there is definitely a good way and a bad way to do anything. I have stopped trying to max my lifts. No more than bodyweight or a bit more for squats now, and more front squats than back squats. Gotta keep the posture into old age. As for kettlebells, do them how Steve Cotter does, and you should be on the mend. Here's an example of his amazing free instruction:

Never too late to fix exercise form.

People under 30 know that forums are totally uncool.
👀 Doh! I speak for the ~20yos. I'd rather be with good people than "cool" people.

I love being able ask the older crowd for advice! Better to learn from their mistakes then suffer through them myself.

Lord knows I've made a lot of mistakes in my time on this rock. One decent benefit of being older than dirt is, you can look back on all the incredibly dumb s--t stuff we did in a misspent youth, and wish we had a time machine. Then I'd go back in time like in that Marty McFly movie to find myself, and kick myself right in the A$$ and ask me "What the hell are you thinking?????"

If experience is learning, then I've done a LOT of painful learning of what is not a good idea.
