This was not easy, again... too many excellent blades to try and pare down the selections to just these!

WOW!! I was dreading this moment. Hell, I cain't even make up my mind when I see a menu in a restaurant - and now I gotta vote for a handful of knives from this magnificent pick of the crop.

Well, in no particular order:

1) Sfreddo 1-6

2) D'Holder 20-3 (this one I own, but I am unashamed to cast a vote for it)

3) Dean El Diablo 60

4) Fisk Bandelero 75-1

I would have also voted for the Curt Erickson (whoever owns it has exquisite taste), but now feel, after reviewing all the Bowies, that it belongs in some other category. Apples and oranges, these Bowies are pure, the Erickson is elaborated. So many awesome blades!

This was really, really hard. In the end it's all subjective anyway.

Votes cast in private: Kumbaya, dagnabit..!!! :p

I can appreciate those feelings. I love that Erickson but I didn't think it belonged in the group. There were also two D'Holders that were tough to leave off my list.....and John Whites. I could have easily listed a dozen knives!:D

Thank you so much guys for listing a few of my knives in your favorites. I'm truly honored to be recognized by such an experienced group of collectors. Thanks again.

There can only be one winner so I am only going to cast one vote. It was hard to pick from so many great knives but the bowie I could not stop looking at was Don's #4
I would like to say that it was a great honer to have a knife noted in this thread. Thank you for that.

Dave, I take it your are voting for the Hanson bowie in post 1, #4? (There is no knife is post #4).

Guys - my present inclination is to leave voting open through today, close off in the morning tomorrow and start a new thread with a poll for the 5 finalists.

If anyone thinks we need more time for voting, let me know.

And Happy New Year to everyone!

Roger

I'd vote but it wouldn't be fair, with this dial up connection I have it would take 3 hrs. for all the pictures to load so by the time some load I've forgotten what I've looked at earlier. Damn senior moments. :)
Must say though, of the many I've seen there sure is a bunch of fantastic makers out there. Thank you Lorien and Coop for the mentions among all these wonderful talents, very humbling.

Bill
