Great stuff gents - particular thanks the makers participating.

Marcel - what a fabulous collection your nominations alone would make!

Here are a few more to join the fray:

1. Kyle Royer - Shadow of the West Bowie By far not Kyle's most complex piece, but one of my faves. The dark blade lends this otherwise elegant piece a sinister persona.

2. Dave Lisch Sun Fighter Did I mention that Dave is a wizard with damascus? This one has to be seen to be believed - rays of the sun ripple and radiate outward the full length and width of the blade. Best Damascus at Blade Show. Stunning ivory and beautiful carved lines don't hurt the cause any.

3. Tad Lynch Subhilt Fighter Subhilts have been around for a long time, so it's particularly commendable when a maker manages to bring something new to the genre - as Tad has done to beautiful aesthetic effect here.

4. Mike Quesenberry, Dave Lisch Two makers for the price of one! A collaboration that results in an entirely cohesive whole is a nice trick - and this bowie is one seriously nice knife.

Oooooh - I'd forgotten that Fisk clamshell - D R O O O L!

John White - that Nihonshiki Bowie was one of my faves from Blade. I have always had a soft spot for these East meets West pieces.

I had 6 picked out but was pretty busy today so late posting and the Joe Kessler Bowie and John White "Old Glory" have already been posted.
Here are my remaining picks:

#1 Jerry Fisk Dirk Fighter- This is similar to the one posted above that Jerry made for Blade Show but a little different and the one I prefer. This one was made for the Brazil Show and is one of Jerry's best pieces to date in my opinion. Jerry lets lose on ALL his many skills on this one.

#2 Michael Ruth JR Sub-Hilt Fighter - What can you say about this except pure perfection. This guy has learned from some of the best and it shows here. Michael offered this at this year's ACE Show. He's going to be one of the Best Ever in my opinion.

#3 Jay Hendrickson 40 Year Anniversary Bowie/Sheath - This is an outstanding Moran ST-24 style piece and very fitting for a 40 year Anniversary Knife from one of the finest Knifemakers and Gentlemen in Custom Knives.

#4 Jerry Fisk Southwest Bowie - This is the second S/W Bowie from this year to be entered on Jerry's behalf. This is Classic Fisk with Wolf's Tooth Blade and out of this world amber stag. IMO, Jerry pretty much defines the Southwest Bowie with these knives.

Not in the same class as many fine works shown already but here are a couple of bowies I finished up earlier this year.

The only big knife I made this year.
It was made for Sam Lurquin following his design.
The knife he made for me  is shown in the first or second post in this thread.

So far, I have narrowed it down to 8 or 9 on the first page of the thread.

The selection process this year is going to be absolutely brutal.

2knife,

The "Inquisitor " Bowie you show is by Patrice Lemee, Quebec, Canada.

I must have looked at the knives posted at least a dozen times. OH WOW! How you pick a winner out of them I don't know. I am truly humbled by the works here. This one of mine I finshed not long ago.
