I believe this one fits the description . . .

Awww, man! I come to page three and there's no more? Well, I already have a favorite, but willing to chage my mind if need be. Beautiful knives!!!

Thanks gents - much apreciated - a real bowie feast has been assembled already - keep 'em coming. The Bump knives are all stunning, and Gerhard has returned with some very compelling entries. Joe - I just love that stagalicious Royer.

Note - for those who submitted more than one bowie in a post please make sure you number each entry. This makes a HUGE difference when it comes time to tally the votes for finalists, which is often a VERY close race. We want to be sure every vote cast is attributed to the right knife, so please help us out. Go back and edit in the numbers where needed, please.

Thanks!

David - you'll get to vote for more than one at the nomination stage (you don't have to, but you can). Once the finalists have been selected, THEN you'll have to decide on the one and only.

All Bowies impressive.. I love this thread...

I've had a year of many Bowies. Of which I have done, this is my favorite...
Happy new year!

Already have you covered on that one, page 1, Claudio. Fine piece indeed.

Kris

Thanks Kris - you are correct - I would ask either Claudio or the author of the initial post to remove the pic (maybe the original post, as Claudio has shown larger and more images).

It's a terrific knife - let's make sure all votes cast for it get counted.

Note: In my position I have the opportunity to make makers smile OR piss them off; either by inclusion or omission. ;)

I've selected some of the hundreds of fixed blades I have shot this year that qualify for this thread, simply by merit of the makers not being listed already, or visual interest.

Here are two posts with 12 knives I like.

1. Shawn Knowles from NJ, squeaking in over the 6" wire....

2. Anders Hogstrom with his version of formidable.

3. Jerry McClure with a colorful Bowie/pendant arrangement

4. Jerry Hossom: Simple, and as bad as can be.

5. Shawn McIntyre with his MS quality work.

6. Mace Vitale: This one is SO visually compelling in his style and the inlay of the handle to the blade design.

Next post....

1. Butch Deveraux: You don't see his work often, but what a knife!
orig.jpg

2. Andrew Takach takes command of his work on this piece.
orig.jpg

3. Kevin Casey defines the 'long and pointy' fighter. Also his feather damascus is legendary.
orig.jpg

4. Mark Knapp sets the standard for interesting handles. This one sets the tone for power.

5. Bruce Bingenheimer has us draw up our chair for a closer look. Dreamy.

6. Thad Buchanan shows us how he'd design a fighter for the Hollywood red carpet.

If I've missed you (sorry) and you want to be included, we can do that. Give me a holler.
