BladeForums loading problem

So are there any known issues??
Sometimes the page will not load at all and other times I have to reload the page. Posting has been a problem for me also, sometimes it wants to post twice and sometimes not at all.

What types of attacks are you seeing? From how many sources?

Dealing with DDoS's can be a pain. There can be some free/inexpensive workarounds that can be implemented on the server itself that can address low-bandwidth attacks. The commercial appliances and cloud-based DDoS mitigation services tend to be rather expensive though. Unfortunately, it seems most of the time, unless you're willing to shell out some serious money, you're stuck doing some band-aid patches and just riding it out...
 
I keep getting timeout messages - taking too long to load. Chrome; FireFox; IE. Reloading usually works.

Ever since the siege started, every original post results in "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave . . . ." Now that I know to confirm, no more double posts. Does not happen when editing.
 
I have an OC-3 and cable backup (50Mbps) here and it takes 5-10 seconds to generate a forum page here.

I have a family member who is a Fed and states that when these are tracked they (most often) end up being attacks by competing sites.
 
Seems to be going good right now ... was lagging all day long until now.

Went from being one of the more trying days lately here to normal or almost normal within minutes! Whatever "light switch" y'all just flipped, mark it as "The Fix", LOL. ;)
I hope whatever was just tried will be the end of what has to be extremely aggravating period of time for Spark and the web techs working on this. :)

i have 2 different computers and for months i have had problems posting and replying to pm's on both computers. sometimes i get luckier on my backup pc which is what i am using now.



(keeping fingers crossed while hitting the post button)
 
This problem is frustrating. I was denied log on to this site many many times over the last week. What's the problem ???
 
Didn't notice any problem 'till yesterday. Today it's been diabolical. Your resistance has kicked in sometime in the last couple of hours. England / France
 
Last three days have been off and on for me. Today being the worst. Thanks for continuing to work on it spark and co.! Just a question though...

Tim, when that window comes up again, click on 'leave that page' and it will post it all right. Soeties double post but that's better than nothing. :)
