I purchased one right when they went live... Noticed my order wasn't showing up in my account... submitted several more orders hoping that one would go through. Called BHQ to apologize for submitting several orders... Explained that their credit card processing crashed but they were so gracious. Canceled the other orders and made sure I had my order. Very impressed with their customer service, especially on such a crazy day. Just got a shipping notice telling me it's on the way!

Looking forward to this new PM2!

1200 is the standard amount of units Spyderco produces when issuing a factory sprint run. Disclosing the number of units ordered is the prerogative of the dealer issuing the exclusive.

I received a transaction receipt email saying my card was approved, yet to get shipping info yet

My guess is...The first knife you ordered will ship. The second knife will be canceled unless you tell them it wasn't a duplicate. The third knife will ship since you "tweaked" the address.
 
So stoked about getting one, will definitely be putting it to use. Jade puts it over the top for me. I have always liked Jade, add M4 and it's going to make a great backpacking blade.
 
I must have been one of the first people to hit submit order. Had the hiccups, got a few emails then got an email that said the order issue was corrected and got a tracking/shipping number at 1645 hrs.

Blade HQ did very well with handling the hiccups. As always... Excellent customer service and communication!

I refreshed my browser at 1200 EST and the were in stock. My order was placed and submitted at probably 1200 and 5 seconds!!

Yeah, I think you may be right. That's how it's looking in the Order Status on the BladeHQ site now.

It's good to see that they are taking care of all the obvious duplicates automatically.

BladeHQ has phenomenal CS. Minutes after the PM on the forum a rep calls me and gets everything straightened out. I have 2 on the way. That's how you treat people. You will always get my recommendation.
 
Stayed off the boat today and submitted order as BladeHQ went live. Then later got the email that CC was declined and follow up email that CC was OK and processed. Looking forward to the knife. What a wild ride.
 
Just wanted to say it again.......Blade HQ did a GREAT job with this exclusive!!! Could've been a total disaster.

BHQ earned that money today. When I called everyone sounded super busy in the background.
 
I ordered mine the minute they came out. I got the email saying the credit card didn't work, and freaked a bit. I finally got through, and they said it was fixed. I have a tracking number now. It says the label was created. I really hope they don't wait until tomorrow to actually ship it.

It is a common number used for many of the sprint runs. One of Spyderco's makers in Japan who has made many of their knives over the years including sprint runs requires a minimum order of 1200 units. That may be where the number came from originally.
