I might be older than you and I think I'm going to like the scales well enough like they are.

That is if I get one, with all of the people getting 15 of them I might just receive an empty box.

I bought mine with every intention of losing the scales. The same thing probably would have happened if I bought the CF version from KW...except at a $60 higher initial cost. Buying this one made more sense.

I did too... not being a huge fan of CF, the KW was out for me... and I planned on getting this "jade" version, intending on a scale swap.

But, the more I'm seeing these raw undyed G10 scales, the more they are growing on me. Their simplicity, and semi-translucency making the liner silhouette visible, is actually quite trick.

The leafstorm was always a really unique knife in the line up, and this is even better! Going to be a highly sought after and fondly remembered knife in the future, no doubt about it.

I read on the Spyderco forums that someone who picked up their knife was told it was a 2400 piece run with 2300 released for sale, 100 kept for collector's club/warranty. I'm not sure of the accuracy of this, just what I read.
 
Maybe when holding it in hands I will have a different feeling, but for now I prefer my digicam/dlc pm2. The jade color is just too bright for me.
 
I think it's kind of crap that people are selling them on blade forums of all places for north of 200. I think anything below 2 would be a fair price, otherwise you're just taking advantage of everyone else.

really doubt they would sell out 2,300 in four hours. My guess is 800.. but we'll never know. BHQ rep already stated they wouldn't disclose.
