I think 1200 is the minimum order from Spyderco for customs.

I think you are confused on the term peel-ply, possibly confusing it with the laminate.

I think it's kind of crap that people are selling them on blade forums of all places for north of 200. I think anything below 2 would be a fair price, otherwise you're just taking advantage of everyone else.

How can someone be taken advantage of when they are buying something on their own free will? Nobody is forcing them to buy a luxury knife, it's their choice and I'm sure they can't wait to get it! And no I haven't sold mine for a profit but I'm sure I will some day as will everyone complaining about the profiteering.

Peel ply is just the process of adding texture to the material. The peel ply carbon fiber like the recent 52100 Military is in fact 100% carbon fiber. The laminate cf like on the Sage3 or Domino is a single layer of carbon fiber on the surface of a piece of g10.

you're right sir. i meant twill carbon fiber/G-10 laminate would not beat the jade g10, but full CF would be nice.
