Bad Bladehq smells!

i wondered why my ordered AND paid for Spyderco Tanto didn't arrive,so i mailed BHQ.got back a message saying "Thank you for contacting us.I've checked and found out that your order has just been prepared for shipping,we apologize for the delay.this should be picked up by the carrier on August 7th.for your convenience,i've included the tracking details"!now they finally shipped my knife!to me it's a stinkin'gang of bastards over at BHQ,some 2 years ago i've had problems with them,but since i wanted the Tanto so badly (addition to my collection!) i tried my chance's,well, NEVER again i go to BladeHQ,they can stick it up.........i'm done with them.more knife enthousiasts having problems with bHQ?glad to hear that!

You seem upset.

If I understand correctly:
You bought a knife. There was a delay in shipping. You sent an email bringing it to their attention, and they responded to your email by apologizing for the delay and then shipped your knife with tracking info.

When did you place your order?
 
Sorry about your blade not arriving on time.. This can be hard for us, myself included. I am now getting used to services of all kinds being later on occasion with all that is happening these days. I would imagine that blade purchases are picking up at this time. I have never had a blade late from Blade HQ, however they do not confirm orders or at least I never get confirmation of a order. A couple months back this happened and I thought there was a problem with the order process and ordered the knife again. Ended up with (2) of them now as they never sent tracking info either. To me this is a weakness that I do not care for. Usually they are pretty darn good with shipping times though. TD

This doesn't help much without knowing an order date. My experience with a variety of online shops guns,knives, Amazon and eBay has been anywhere from same day shipping to a week getting a product shipped. Then experiencing delays with shipping couriers.

I think we are supposed to guess how long they waited to ship based on how mad he is.
Considering the number of insults hurled toward BHQ I'd like to put my guess in at: 2 weeks ?

I know they ship slower than some, not quite amazon non prime slow but not as fast as knifecenter or whitemountianknives.
I've only ordered from them 1 or 2 times and they shipped within 3-4 business days

They didn’t steal from you? Knife was as described? Did you have any follow up discussion after you emailed them to ask for an explanation or just race here to bash them?

I haven’t bought from them in a long time, but fortunately never had any issues. I would imagine if you sent them an email voicing your frustration (in a calmer tone) you would find out if they were having some sort of issue, and if they didn’t reply then your concerns would be validated.

I always found Cam to be pretty customer service oriented, and while times may have changed I’d at least reach out to them and ask them for their version of the situation.

I have no problems with them though the last six years, so your order was a little late! I would say no big deal and no reason to ding them, like said we all must live with f...king virus .
 
I noticed a change as in not being notified of shipping and slow to finally ship.
This started right after the covid shutdown.

glad to hear you got a response and it shipped! with something that sells out so quickly, I'd be worried about getting a response that they were sold out and could not send me one.

I personally, have never had any issues when dealing with Blade HQ.

And I hope that you don't mind me suggesting this:
You really ought to consider enrolling in some type of educational continuation program....with a focus on perhaps an English 101 & English Composition class.

They offer some wonderful GED programs, online. :thumbsup: :)

I mind... perhaps you should consider enrolling in a anti-trolling program.

You have been warned 15 times for insults/rude behavior or trolling of other members... it's way past time for you to take a break from the forums.

When you come back, if this type of behavior continues your break will become permanent.

When you order from other US distributors, have you experienced any delays or restrictions that might hinder delivery times to your location in Europe?

International shipping can be challenging to navigate sometimes.

I commend you on your enthusiasm for Spyderco knives, they offer a great variety of high quality knives!
