Yep, your not kidding on that one, I think they were mostly taught from grandpa/grandma and moms/dads, they have been cooking good tasting home cooked meals since they were old enough to start helping as kids. Serving up the best to someone else, especially a stranger, is pride to them, and it shows.

Any time we travel for work/vacation/trips/sports or anything, I always try to find local places to eat. One of the best steaks I’ve had came from a restaurant in a little hole in the wall town in Mississippi. Just something about it stood out. Don’t get me wrong I love a Texas Roadhouse steak but if I’m away from home I like to eat at places I never have before
