So today’s Trek was kinda urban. Started out on a dirt double track between the first two towns then paved bike trail to the third town.
Still a 9 mile walk though. Saw a Bald Eagle above the posted bridge. And of course a few deer too.
Tomorrow’s Trek will start with a few miles of single track through some awesome woods but will end with an 8.5 mile road walk. 😏

Despite a few angry boys from here me and the blade geometry itself were right, convex rules! ☺️
At least at cheese and potatoes and batoning. Tested.
Today I did another comparison test of my main 5 knives, I have thrown 'em onto potatoes. You know what? 4.5 mm convex blade did the best! No kidding.
3.0-3.7 mm flats were a slightly tight slicing. The one with a black coating was the worst because of the friction and the contact area (it's also has the widest blade).
Even the Mora Companion which is 2.1 mm thick by my own measure - being two times thinner than the Bushcraft Plus! - did worse. I mean, it's thin, it slices really easy, yet the control isn't so great.
So yep, convex rules. I'm really satisfied so far

I'm confused... Did you intend to reply to a different thread? Maybe I missed something.
