Today’s Trek was a SUPER HILLY 13 miles!! 🙄😂 Had a doe and her fawn real close. Was really kool!! Seemed I was climbing all day!! 😂 Bumped a grouse and got to watch it fly away!! 😍 Was a hot 82deg day. And as the week goes on the temperature keeps rising!!! 😞
Got a 10miler tomorrow!! 83/84degs!! 😜

Boy when a grouse takes off, usually after you've passed them it certainly gets the blood pressure up quick don't it!!!!......Great seeing where you've been..... There's nothing like being in the woods!!! The air, the sounds or lack of the annoying ones and just the feeling peace that encompasses one is fantastic.

My Savotta Jääkäri M with all the accessories. Bundeswehr rain poncho at the top. Savotta ground pad at the bottom. Really happy with the Savotta gear and glad to support domestic maker. Night was a little cold for the arms (I don’t use underquilt) but slept better than I have ever slept.

So here is a few pictures of yesterday’s Trek. Basically all double track to start and finished on a paved bike trail!!
The next couple days I will be on the bike path. 😏
Met a couple on the bike path and told them what I was doing and when they got back to their car the wife gave a cold bottle of Gatoraid to her husband to find me on the trail and give to me. He peddled a couple miles until he found me!! I really appreciated that as it was 86deg!! 👏

A little thought.
As I have passed the halfway milestone and will shortly have under 100 to go it all seems surreal!! Seems like I started this a hundred years ago and/or just yesterday!! I think back on all the beautiful country I have passed through and those big climbs I have done!!
What a Trek so far and what the rest brings!! 😁🥾🥾😁
