Got out yesterday to get 5 more miles done. Sunny 75deg day. Was hoping to go again today but rain and storms squashed that. And the guessers are calling for the same till August I think. My next section is rocky/rooty/hilly so wet and slippery isn’t a good choice. Going to keep a close watch on the weather and hopefully get rolling again!!

Beautiful area and photos.
Even though death and danger could be lurking just under the surface, standing at the edge casting a too water bait just seems natural to me.

Ever gone somewhere and played in it? When we get a good Lake Erie blasting I could send ya tractor trailer full lol.
spent one full winter as a kid in Pennsylvania. got on plane was 80f. got off plane was -14f. spent a whole winter in ice and snow. shoveling it, scraping ice..standing in it waiting for the school bus, etc sheer misery.....

came back to florida that summer. one of the happiest days of my life.....

Huh, yeah I guess it’s easier to deal with it when you’ve grown up with it each year, I’m one of the few that doesn’t complain about it and the hiking trails become quite nice with almost nobody on them. Can’t beat the winter woods as far as quiet and serene goes, it’s amazing with most birds being gone, no bugs etc.

Some how I forgot to take a knife pic. Added 7.4 miles to the remaining total yesterday. HOT Trek and still slippery. Fell 4 times, ran out of water and generally a really tough day. 🤨 Was glad when it was done and you won’t hear me say that again!! 🤣
