Went on our first real one of the season last week (aside from our local peak that we use to stay in shape and can hike year-round). Things are just starting to thaw out at elevation, but we were able to make it up to one of our favorite waterfalls in regular gear. The snow pack was just above the falls at this point. Felt great to get back out in it 😎

This pick is from yesterday. While hiking up a canyon in southeast Arizona I ran across an old mining truck. The outline of the vehicle is remarkably intact but I didn’t get a picture of it for context. All I got was a picture of my hiking knife in one of the headlight rims.

There must have been at least a million butterflies. Constant flow over the ridge. They liked the color red.

Got 3 brooks. Brought my new 110 slim.IMG_1088.jpegIMG_1100.jpeg
My 7 and 8 yo shared a hammock. Probably last year for that.

Blue Ridge Trail in Wrightwood CA. This area was devastated by the fires last year. Still a great day with a high of 70 degrees. Breaking in the crucarta manix 2. This was my Father’s Day gift from the wife and kids. The wife says it looks like it belongs in nature. I agree.

Hopefully the area recovers from the fire. Great gift
