think it's great y'all dont have leash laws, so the pup can run around and enjoy the hikes. unless your on private land or breakin' the law?

I got him when I lived in Montana, and trained him to be off leash, there are leash rules in many of the places around Maine, but we tend to steer clear of them - he's great on a leash, I just prefer, as does he, the freedom of no leash - hell, his collar only goes on when we go to places like Home Depot or the liquor stores. I even walk him off leash on the roads, he knows to listen to my voice.

nice. leash laws are fine in crowded places, but out where y'all are hiking...its great to see the pup enjoying the freedom.

It rained all day yesterday, so we were absent from hiking, and due to the rain, we had to use a crushed gravel path, instead of an actual hike, but we still got out:

Colodado! Most of its gone now, but got some nice snow/ice on the trails for the way up.

Awesome, I sure miss Colorado, lived there for 35 years - was always nice to see the caps get some early season snow - Pikes Peak was usually the first one I'd see with fresh snow.

Strange leaf season - with the drought, the leaves seem to be falling as soon as the change color, but it sure makes it look great:
