im a flat lander, live a handful of meters above sea level.....any snow is too cold for me for shorts. I wear jeans in the summer here too.

The rain from overnight froze some of the planks, even though it was 39°F, it was still oddly slippery in spots.. not ready for spikes yet, but may have to start using them early

Wife and I got out on this AWESOME fall day for a really nice 6 mile hike!!
50 and mostly sunny day with zero webs, mud or people!!

The weather was miserable
I was trying to get to a new mountain but ended up just going to this lake, the ‘track’ was at best a wombat pad and ended up just kinda disappearing in the swampiness… pushing on in the cold and wet didn’t seem worth it. Still good to have a few hours out…

Where in Maine? As a kid we used to go to Wayne, Maine for summer vacation. No stop lights, the Post Office was also the Barber Shop and Ice Cream store, one gas station, and the General Store had a sign that said "If we Don't have It, You Do Not Need It". John
