I don't think this nest is gonna produce any birds:

We got something close to 1.5" of rain yesterday, and this morning it was ambient 18°F with ~20-45mph winds (felt like 1°F according to weather apps) - icy mess:

Last one of 2025, was a balmy 11°F (with windchill it was around -4°F) - I think I carried the Sebenza the most this year for all our hikes:

Is it still a waterfall if its frozen?

He was able to find loads of pine cones today, just required removing them from the ice before he could chase them:

I hate the cold regardless, I look forward to the day my wife feels the same and we get away from this crap - if I never had to shovel/move snow again, I'd be okay with that.

Another cold one, started at 9°F (feels like was -3°F) and ended at 12°F... I dropped the knife in the snow right before this picture, and it pretty much instantly had ice cycles forming:

I will destroy all pine cones!

I hated it as a kid. still hate it. I spent one brutally cold winter in PA as a kid. when we moved back to florida that summer.....I vowed id never live in ice and snow. never have since, and never will. im always cold even here in the winter one day before im dead im moving to some island thats warm year round by the equator.......

Our winters here are so eratic.. I remember 1 year New Years Day being 70deg as we went Mt. Biking and another being in the 60s and went for a motorcycle ride.. Then again like yeasterday started in single numbers and snow!!!

Same here in NYSHITTY....All over the place temp wise over the years........ At least you can dress for the cold!!! The heat you just. Drip and.peel the ole bean bag of your. Thigh all day..

yeah doesnt work for me. I layer up and im still cold. heat is easier for me, long as there is some shade to escape to.......
