Old and new. Hi tech and low tech. Lee Child based his modern best selling character Jack Reacher on John D. MacDonald’s Travis McGee. Both are tough guy hero’s who fly under the radar and make things right based on their own morale compass and more often than not outside of the law. They right the wrongs and don’t loose any sleep over their methods.

I thank my grandfather for introducing me to the Travis McGee books over 35 years ago and I am glad Lee Child has carried on.
