Bladeshow 2015 Purchases

Just getting caught up on this thread. WOW. Really WOW. I've been interested in going to Blade since hearing about it in this community when I joined. Now, I'm not sure my mind, wallet, or marriage could take it. INCREDIBLE knives all around. Simply fantastic.

That is an amazing haul you made there Bill. Each one is a stellar example of the respective makers art. I looked at that CRex Green River knife several times. it is not what I would call my normal style of knife, but my mind kept coming back to it. When I decided to head back to Carl's table to buy it, it was gone. I am glad that it ended up with you my friend. I truly enjoyed all of our conversations throughout the weekend.

Best regards,

Phil

Here is Carl's table for you Guys
I think Bud's knife on right top shelf, Phyl's knife on right low corner,
I think Bill's knife in very low right corner ( seen partially)

my bladeshow fiddleback

unfortunately I came too late to catch some of things I want too

I was hesitating may 15 minutes between this one and the Camp in tangerine burlap with black bolster
I wish I can have both...
this seem slightly more comfortable in the hand

I truly believe I've got 2 best of Jarrett Fleming's knives. it skinner in blue burl and snake wood

WAS knives

I was looking for a while into GWB and Bison

I found my GWB
but still did not find MY Bison

Liberty looks promising to me as well

GWB compare to Camp

Just could not resist bying Kestrel - I love maroon micarta

Dogwood

I was able to get this nice Dogwood knive - lavawood in CPM3V - don't know model name
look at that mirror polish!
and unfortunately miss another one I like ( was sold- does not have picture)
and had a nice talk with Dan

Great pictures Taja. You scored some very nice knives! Your Fiddleback Camp Knife is one of the nicest ones they brought. I really like your Jarrett Fleming knives also. The Snake Wood on the Bird & Trout is beautiful also. Great choices all around.

Phil,
I named the one you purchased the Raptor.
I hope you enjoy using it on your fishing trip

I appreciate the reply Chris. I edited my original post to correct the name to Raptor.

I really like the feel of this knife. I went through my collection of sheaths over the weekend and found one that is a perfect fit for it, so I am good to go on the fishing trip. If the fishing is good, I'll start a new thread to post pictures of the knife in action.

Thanks,

Phil

I like the way you roll Taja! You have exquisite taste. Very nice pics!

A little later to the party, but here are my Blade Show purchases. The Ladyfinger and BC Jr. came from the show (the Ladyfinger via AZCK). The Runt from the Friday sale thread during the show. Big thanks to Brian G. for the help on the BC Jr. I couldn't make it to the show, but it's good to have friends. Hopefully I can make it next year and meet a lot of you in person. And a thanks to Joe D. as well for posting the Ladyfinger and bringing it to my attention. I couldn't resist!

Sweet Ladyfinger! You know I have a special place in my heart for this model. (Thanks again)
Looks like A2 with that spalting so pronounced.

Amazing set you got there Kris! Blue ang green handles are always some of my favorites. That Ladyfingers is off the charts. It looks like the twin brother of another color to Kal-El's blue one.

It's good to have friends looking out for you when you can't be there. You definitely need to try to make it next year. You will meet current friends and make some new ones. That is how it worked out for me on my first Blade Show visit. Fiddleback people are good people.

Congratulations again on your beautiful set.

Phil

Yep. Both the Ladyfinger and the Runt are A2. I'm not certain about the BC Jr. Looks like it could be, but the spalting is not quite as pronounced as the other two.

Thanks Phil. It is like another color brother to Kal El's. Speaking of, let's see some pics of that one, Sergio. Unless I missed those somewhere.

Take a look on the last couple pages of the "User Pics" sticky.
There are a few there.

Rather than start a new thread I figured I would put this here. E2E's Adam Francis interview with the man himself (and for those that don't know I mean Andy) from Blade 2015.
