Bladesport chopper

Donavon,
The 5/16' lanyard tube used in the front of the handle is considered compliance to the "pin through the handle rule", does it not?

JG,
here is a source of 1/4" o-ring material: http://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=ubpsoq

There he is! Thanks a bunch Jose, the blank looks awesome. Once things get a little lest crazy around here I'm gonna get to work on it.

Donavan, thanks for the intel on the lanyard hole.

After getting my O1 Chopper designed and done(for heat treatment) and getting Jose's Cane Toad Chopper blank, a few things have made themselves clear. A convex shaped blade profile makes more sense. If I'm hitting a target with the middle section of the blade and the tip hits the table and the blade stops it might not be able to cut clear through the target.

Also, the angled handle makes a lot of sense in terms of keeping the wrist in a more neutral position and generates more power.

Of course I was limited by the stock that I had(2in wide). This has been a great learning process. Like I said, once things calm back down around here I'm gonna get cracking on this project again.

Thanks for all the help gents!
