Blind horse machete

Ordered their "May special", got an email saying they hope to have it to me within 30 days...

Yes, they're Imacasa. Didn't tell me if they were made in El Salvador or Pakistan (I read somewhere that Imacasa's been outsourcing to Pakistan. If I knew they were from there I wouldn't have ordered one).

Ok now I will call BS on the Pakistan thing. Have you ever called a customer service line ? They are too busy anwering phones to build machete's !

I read it either in a thread here or at machete source. Didn't make sense to me either, but the person posting seemed to know what he was talking about.

EDIT: Y'all know more about it than I do, I'm sure I'll be happy with what I get. Not tryna stir the pot here.

where is machete source, I would love to see this post too.

Nice, Protest the hero!!!! Love that band

I figured that's where you meant by "Machete source," but the info just didn't make sense. Now it does. :p Thanks for clarifying. :)

Not a problem.

When your mouth's as big as mine, you get used to correcting yourself.

Now awaiting my order on tenterhooks, and eying the stand of alders encroaching on my lawn with relish.

Mine arrived yesterday, and were it not for the steady drizzle outside I'd be slaying alders right now.

The thing came shaving sharp, and held its edge for the half dozen pieces of shake roofing I split up for kindling. Not really a workout, I know. I'll be going to work on sapling up to 4" soon enough.

For those concerned about the handle shape, don't be. It's a good thing.

Got mine too. I like the handle quite a bit actually. Have to go out and cut some stuff now.

I'm jealous :grumpy: I had the money ready to go for one of these but I found a Casio Pathfinder for a great price and had to get that instead (Been wanting one forever)

Post pics of your chopping adventures to tide me over until I can get one ;)

I received mine Tuesday. I have cleared some ditch banks with it and chopped through some salt treated 2x4's so far. Tomorrow I am going out on the creek to check some Crayfish traps. After that I will put it to work and see how it does.
