Blue Stag?

There is a reason stag is dyed/colored amber, brown, and red -- those go with the natural color change of stag as it is used and ages with oils and time. If you were to use this for a while, you'd find it starting to take on a sickly greenish shade as the stag mellows and yellows.

Well, if red stag is legit, why not other colors?

Apparently that is exactly what the marketing team thinks :p

Somebody will buy it because blue is their fav color  .... uh....dayum that is just wrong. :D

...and Dwight, I would bet money that these thoughts never come into play at the marketing team meetings.

Along the lines of the "maketing" angle...

We here are knife nuts looking,at the best of the best, alotta times.
Some person (a non knife nut type)walking into a storefront that sells knives, may gravitate to the color.
But how many times is this gonna happen ?
I dunno about that stuff there.

Burnt stag is a natural color in my view, as is dyed amber stag.

For me, amber stag can compliment the stag by extenuating what's naturally their. It also gives an aged look to natural stag imho. I love nicely done amber stag as much as natural stag.

However, the average person in a store who isn't into knives probably isn't going to want to spend the additional cost for Case stag.

I wonder how many they will bang out before someone in the Co. see's this ?

Don't tell me that you're unfamiliar with the classic mushroom shield. :D

I think that may have been what they were ingesting when they came up with this whole thing. Wasn't there some totally horrible *green* stag knives put out a few years ago?

Another thought is that they borked a normal dye job and came up with this as a coverup so they didn't waste the stag.

That's possible, but it doesn't explain the mushroom. Perhaps Case wanted to know how ugly they can make a knife and still sell it.

I thought they already found that out with their Cotton Candy jigged bone. :barf:

Who knows. If it was something like a peanut with blue bone in the $30 range they would probably sell a few, but I assume this think is going to be around $100.
