which has the best knives for the money???? i like BM the best.. you jsut cant compete with the steel they use and the customer service...? however i have only owned bm knives and soon hopefully will get a zt300 series blade and a spydy mili soon.. so i will be unbiased.. however.. i still from all the research i have done feel BM wins over all...
however if money was no worry i would take the ZT

CS is over priced.. and spydy takes the durability out of there blades by putting a freakin hole in it...

Spyderco has been in business for years and I have NEVER heard of a single incident where the placement of their deployment hole has caused early deterioration of the blade.

Some what of an ignorant statement.

Glad to see you are gettin' a millie

i never said ive heard of one break b4 . just stating physics. that with a freakin hole in the blade it makes it weaker than if there wasnt one... doesnt seem too "tactical"

Do you homework before making bold statements, it saves embarrassment.

They are all good just different.

And there is no such thing as best.

for instance likfe or death situation.. you gotta pry something open to live.. do u take the blade witha hole in it or a the blade with solid steel throughout?

im asking for your opinion of best! obviously everyone has there opinion and only i can say what is best.. so please stop trying to put me down cuz i might not know as much as you.. and again.. so your a physicist/engineer and can say that something with a hole in it is stronger than something without one?

I'd take the one that more adequately serves its purpose. Since I'm used to Spyderco and Byrd holes, I'd take that one.

Regardless of whether there is an appreciable loss of strength or not, it's not the top of the blade that is going to fail first.

If you want to compare companies, gripe about a realistic design error that proliferates under real conditions, not your assumptions.

Considering I actually do own millies and enduras and delicas your "thought" that it is weaker is simply that.... a thought.

The hole means nothing is the blade is not thick enough to pry in the first place. But to answer your question yes I would trust my saber ground endura to pry.

i have no problem with the hole, it makes opening way easier.. i just want your thought on why u feel that particular knife is better than the others.. what knife is better than the BM 950 or even the BM 520? none!! for the price..
like what makes you like spydy more than benchmade or zero tolerance?

No one is putting you down, some of us have lots of experience though and consider your assumptions a bit arrogant. These companys have also done lots of testing, something I doubt you have done.

It's what I'm used to. I'm brand myopic, but it appears you are too!

At least I've tried and owned lots of other blades.

Wow talk about opening a can of worms.

Most are great companies. Buy from the top 3, you can't go wrong. Benchmade, Kershaw (ZT is part of Kershaw), and Spyderco. All quality knives, beyond that it is just personal preference.

Nothing, I own knives from all brands stated and like them all.

arrogant? i dont think so just because u have never had to use it that hard, in a situation that calls for it to be use ways it wasnt meant to.. doesnt mean my as u say "thought" are 100% accurate

no im a realist. and when im in combat i dont want to pry with something that hasa hole in it

You can be an arrogant realist. You're ignoring all this great advice and baselessly questioning it.

Buy whatever blade you want, but don't buy folders for..combat prying as you say.

arrogant means making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights. or presuming..
ands its not presuming when i say something witha hole in it , isnt as strong as something without a hole...
am i right?
