Bob Cargill Cripple Creek Knives

Added a Bob Cargill Cripple Creek 10th Anniversary MOP Gunboat to the pile. This bad boy is a monster, 4 1/2", weighs 7 oz, flawless construction, everything you would expect from a maker making a knife to celebrate his 10th year in business. Reminds me of the time when Sheffield cutlers would make their exhibition knives to display their best work.

I'll see what I can come up with regarding the Smoke Signals. Give me a few days tho . They are extremely rare and contain a lot of info. They should be saved if you collect Cripple Creeks or not.
Where I have posted images and they have been reduced to small bluish squares, you can just click on them to view the image. I have no idea why that has happened and have grown weary trying to reverse the situation. The silly little squares with a red X on them, the images that were there are just gone.

Thank you Greg. I had them saved years ago but cannot find them anywhere in my files. I suppose looking back I should have printed hard copies. There is a wealth of knowledge and information in this thread regarding Bob Cargill and his brand that is simply becoming difficult to find anywhere else.
Thanks, Nate

Love the honeycomb jigging on this one...

Regarding the 10th Ann. 5 blade Pearl Gunboat Canoe, each of the blades are dated 2 years apart equaling 10.
Correct me if my memory has faded.
Greg

I had a few of the 10th Ann. pieces at one time. I just now viewed an old photo of one of them that has all the blades dated 91.
I'm wondering if only the first 10 pieces had the blades dated 2 years apart. I'm also wondering what part of my brain may be a wee bit foggy.
Hmmm.

This was the first Buffalo Signal. More to follow. Save these and the rest to come.
For reference, there is a photo of the original L-1 thru 10 on page 35.

Great stuff, Greg — thanks for posting!!!

I will, in time, eventually post all the ones I have. If you can save these images as a .png or .tif file or something other than a jpeg file. it will be to your advantage.
jpeg files are great for posting but the others are better for printing.

One tid bit of info concerning the shields. The oval shields with Cripple Creek stamped into them were made by Cargill in his shop while he was waiting for the Buffalo Shields. This was mostly in the 1981 pieces but he did use them from time to time as a special treat after 1981. The Oak Leaf Shield were made by Cargill and are very limited.

These are out of order date wise so you will have to put them in order after you save them.
