Bob Dozier Knives?

Not trying to hijack your thread but i have a question. Does anyone know if mr dozier does express orders for active duty military? i deploy to afghanistan in 2 months and im getting a few blades to bring with before i go. thanks for anyones help

I know you can find Dozier knives on the bigger purveyor sites, like Arizona Custom knives, that are available for immediate delivery.
The Doziers also update their available page pretty often as well.

Yeah ive been looking but the model im looking for seems to sell out quickly. I always feel like a bit of a jerk when i ask makers if they expedite or offer a military discount( i think ive asked twice). i dont feel i deserve speacial treatment or anything :(

Dozier Knives... Gotta love 'em!

I got this K-28 Personal this year at the BLADE show and it's a great little knife for urban carry...

And here's the rest of my meager collection of Dozier fixed blades...

Maybe ask at the Dozier forum?

Jaxx, that green bone is Stunning, wow!!!Nice collection by the way!I have two Doziers, one is a slim outdoorsman, and the other is a Buckhunter, which is a titanium linerlock with a clip point blade.Bobs D2 is second to none..As far as sharpening goes,I use diamond bench stones and follow up with ceramics.

Walkabout,

WONDERFUL choices in stag!!! Especially like the Pro Guide, Wilderness and the folding hunter!! WOW, just WOW.

I ordered this Classic Skinner from Mr. Dozier, but sadly had to part with it a while back.:(

I WILL own another Dozier one day.

Great thread on some greater knives.

Thanks :)

When I ordered the folding hunter I asked for really rough rather than smoothed stag slabs... Bob delivered!

Arizona Custom Knives has two Freedom Fighters in stock! Perfect for military.

Actually im more interested in the wilderness model compact but sturdy enough to do most anything you could ask of a knife. im not to big a fan of the false edge on the upper or the gaurd which i think could snag on my way out of a vehicle or building for the most part i like simple designs. Thanks for the suggestion though:thumbup:

Good choice. I luckily just found a Wilderness on ebay. I've been trying to get one for many months. The same seller still has a KS-3 Professional Guide's Knife for sale, very similar to the Wilderness. I almost bought both. There's a "Make offer" option and it worked for me :-)

I was considering it but i just like the idea of the thickness and extra handle length. BTW your avatar rocks, shame that it never caught on the way buffy did :(

I saw that the Pro Guide was gone, thought you jumped on it. But the KS-7 is worth holding out for, don't settle for less (not that any other Dozier is lesser). Holding it and examining it I can't think of a better knife if I were to only have one to do everything. Perfect length, perfect thickness, just narrow enough edge. The only thing that might make it better strictly as a Wilderness knife would be a Scandi grind which Bob is doing now on his new Bushcraft knife.

If you haven't already I'd give Bob a call and put up a Wanted post. It's unfortunate they're so difficult to locate. Check ALL the forums you know of that have any appreciation for custom knives. I couldn't believe my luck when I just typed in KS-7 to Google and one was on eBay, brand new. Keep searching!!!

And I totally agree about Firefly. But at the same time it has such a cult following because of being so short-lived. Oh well, at least there's Castle.

Congrats on your KS-7 score!! :) That one is high up on my list of wanted Dozier knives too.

Gotta lover Dozier knives! I've never seen one that wasn't finished to perfection.

I have a KS-3 on order with a Flat grind, in Green Linen with wilderness sheath.
I like the one I got at Blade so much I decided to order one just the way I wanted it. I'm pretty sure it will be my favorite knife in about 10 more months.

Here's a crappy pic I took of the few I have. Sorry about it being blurry.

The two I picked up at Blade this year.
