Boker/Carothers collaboration coming soon?

Able to finally sit and fondle her. I didnt bust out the original but as to be expected I think the boker is a c hair heavier and the edge isnt as refined but still sharp enough to kinda shave. That said, blindfolded I would have a tough time distinguishing if I had a few beers in me. The Leather sheath seems pretty legit. The presentation/packaging is extremely nice for the $. Oh and it has a satin finish, didnt expect that ❤️. Without using Im gonna say this is one of the best value blades Ive ever purchased. Would make a seriously awesome gift.

Interesting! To me it seems like that the serial numbers are in receding the order! The more recent photos posted the closer the numbers are to 1000! My first one was 1181, then I got one yesterday which was repackaged as a gift but IIRC, the S/N was like 1146? 1126? I am scheduled to get another tomorrow for my own stash, but this is from BHQ and not BokerUSA. Will see then if this theory is consistent 🤷‍♂️

Josh, Nathan shared the CAD design with Boker so this version is pretty much a faithful iteration of the CPK UF2 pattern. The fasteners are T6 but otherwise all the positions are the same as the UF2. I hope that this helps 😊

You could have saved 2 days by going and picking it up in person. Flat drive all the way .... half of it on the Autobahn. Less than 2h ? ☺️

I just got mine today - I told myself I wasn't gonna pick one up, as I wanted to wait until I could get the real thing, but the photos on here told me differently. It's a solid package for the price, I like what they did with the box and leather sheath. If anyone ends up with number 1337, let me know, as I'd like to trade - I have 1224.
 
It is a stainless steel with properties very close to VG10. IIRC, there is a post by Nathan somewhere in this thread which I will try to look up later on if I get the time. this steel is nothing like 1095 but I have noticed that in some Google searches some 1095 steel KaBar / Becker knife shows up with same or similar letterings!
 
I decided to grab one of these. not here yet. looks like great knife at good price point. we know design is great.

im confused on the dimensions though. see mention of just under 5" blade and then mention of just under 6" blade. so which is it?

VENT ON - On a side note, I was very disappointed how bladehq has handled that knife release. Not only did my attempt at pre-ordering fail multiple times, but the credit card that I used only for this purpose was afterwards charged by somebody unknown with two flight tickets, and I’m glad Mastercard caught it. Will never use them again. VENT OFF

BHQ had a big network breach a few years back and never notified their customers. They also force you to save a CC on file. They haven’t received any business from me since my card data was stolen in the data breach. It doesn’t seem like they have learned anything.
