First turkeys, and today this:

I was out shooting my bow this evening and I spied a couple rabbits in my neighbor's yard....for a while they disappeared, then this guy got within about 15 feet of me (while I was standing there holding a bow with an arrow nocked) before he turned around and hopped away. Unfortunately the eastern cottontail is somewhat endangered here so even if he was in season.....my neighbor is OK with me shooting animals in his yard....so long as I share. Saw some turkeys there a few weeks ago and he was telling me that he'd like a nice bit of wild turkey meat....you know, if I were to just happen to shoot one while out target shooting. Seriously making me think about getting my hunting license NOW, as opposed to waiting for deer season. And, I just discovered that the turke license lets you take one tom in the spring season and one of either in the fall season....not as expensive as I thought. Still got a couple weeks left....

rules are hard :D

Indeed. I try. Sometimes more than others.
In person, or just on the internet?

Do tell?

On the internet. But id like one. With the toilet paper roll holder. I'd go bucketless though. I have no need for a bucket of saved poo

:D

Wife made stuffed bell peppers and tacos using veggies from my garden. It was delicious. Nutritious too.

Hey GSOM, to do realize the second you'd get your license your house would suddenly become a wildlife exclusion zone...

Finished working on my dads old estwing tonight. Not too much work - ground out the chips and sharpened, buffed off the rust spots, sanded the varnish off the handle and treated with some beeswax. Was going to polish it up but decided against it for now. Wasn't able to save the original sheath. Too bad. Made up a quick replacement, decorated it with some maple leaves to look like my other sheath. I'm liking them; looks like a fun duo to take out in the woods.

Well this sucks, my knives are held up at customs and are being reviewed by the USDA... hopefully they get here before bladeshow.

Damn that sucks JD. Hopefully they get them to you quick bro.

My new bowfishing setup. Maybe tomorrow I'll kill something big with it.

Here in TN, they bundle everything. You buy a basic hunting/fishing license, and then you tack on extras for everthing else... big game, muzzleloader, trout stamp, WMA's, etc. I just wind up buying the Sportsman's license that covers it all except a Federal duck stamp, but it's getting pretty expensive. The Sportsman's license went up $30 this year. :thumbdn:

rules rules rules.

for those following a contest, a man would say "not all the entries are correct", unless a couple of y'all are trolling. that can be fixed :D

Good luck WW!
.
Tomorrow is my last day of high school ever, I graduate on friday. It feels weird

Congratulation bud, that's awesome man!

And thanks Bro, but just found out I'll be taking my grandfather to the hospital in the morning instead. Much more important just not fun... He's not doing very well. Think he broke a bone or vertebrae in his back again.

Plus he's got liver cancer, which is taking it's toll on him as well and making it harder for them to stop the pain in his back.... Lots of pain killers he can't take.

So we'll see what they can do tomorrow.

I looked into the sportsman option here... Over a hundred bucks and most the stuff i wouldn't need.

I only have the fresh and saltwater fishing license but I'll be adding hunting with archery permit too.

Only regular fishing license is needed for bowfishing... Which is a plus but I'm likely to bow hunt eventually. So might as well have it before i want to use it.

Bladite, please bring your ZigZag to Blade. We can anchor some rope on the 14th floor of the Waverly and try that sucker out.
