Boosay is broken...SO SAD

Sorry to hear about your dog Amy. I hope She heals up soon.

Have a great day,

Tom

All my best to you and your little Boosay. Stay strong with your love and care she will do just fine.

My partner and I don't have kids - we have cats instead (apartment living isn't good for dogs)! I would be inconsolable if anything happened to them. Hope Boosay pulls though okay.

BTW - One of my cat's many names is Boosie.

Boosay update:)

She is doing well:thumbup:

We take her at 8:45am a week from today to see if the bones are fusing...keeping fingers crossed:)

I just want to say THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of the phone call's and e-mails..:)

I also want to say a special "Thank You" for Stan:) who called this morning. You really made my morning:thumbup:...You really are a "Gem" to listion to me rambling on and on about my dog.. I really appreciate it:)

XOXO

Glad to hear Boosay is mending.

Didn't want to bug you by phone or even e-mail ... figured you'd be inundated and didn't want to pile on.

Wishing you (and Boosay) all the best.:)

Of course Boosay is doing well - Amy knows how to take care of all sorts of Hogs, Dogs and other criters. :)

Goooo Boosay! Its a Hard Knock Life. :)

(I sooo wanted to go with the Austin Powers version - but well this being a family friendly board and all..)

That's sad but I am glad she survived and can look forward to a happy life as your pet. Lucky dog :)

Just reading this - sorry to hear of her challenge -

How did the checkup go? Sorry if you already posted.

I have a 8-month old GSD that is growing on me... I would seriously be freaked out if something like this happened to him.

Take care, Amy and Boosey...

Alright, when we spoke last week Boosay hadn't yet been back for his checkup. What's the current Boosay report? We dog folks are about as enthusiastic about our furry friends as Busse fans are about their knives. :D
Nobody aka Bruce #166 Hoorah!!!!!!

I guess that I need to update this thread....:) Thank you all for being so concerned it keeps me sane:thumbup:

We took her to the vet on Friday and ...it did not fuse...so we are step 2...looking at the X-rays (after it was not so swollen) it is shattered.

We thought he would say the dreaded "Cut it off" but the vet said she is one strong dog...so let's try this...I take her in on Friday and they will x-ray the leg again....so he will do surgery (again) and he wants to fuse the tibea/fibea (she is a small dog) the bones are so small..so she will have a tifibea??...LOL we will try this....if that does not work...well I will deal:)

Thank you all for your well wishes:) You have no idea HOW MUCH I need it sometimes:thumbup:

XOXO,
Amy-0

:rolleyes:This is a good plan ... it could definitely work.

Remember that you have hundreds of "well wishes," every single day.:)

[Heck, maybe even thousands.:D]

Amy - as long as they are going in again - support the fuse with an INFI pin :) Make her kind of like Wolverine - and then look out ...Cat!!

I'm glad to see that some people do take care of their dogs the right way. Good job and Boosay will do just fine.
