In CO I'm stuck with CFL's, they work good. And the city is toying around with LED street lights.

I have a bunch of stuff from firesteels.com and I like their stuff. I don't think there's a huge difference between the known brands. Maybe some no-name thing of flea-bay or somewhere might not throw sparks as well. The striker is as important too.
 
Maple Bacon flavored energy gels. Might have to give them a try.

I think I'm going to upgrade to the 53W pretending to be 75W or maybe even the 72W pretending to be 100W bulbs if I can find them.

I'm gonna sound like grouchy old fart but...

I hate 'em too. Going to the store to buy an $.89 light bulb to replace the old one is no longer possible. Now you have to go stand in front of a whole bank of "lightbulbs" that cost as much as 20-30 bucks. Of course they last longer ;) (30-40 times longer? BS)

I think when I replaced my can light bulbs with cfl's a couple years back the math worked out to a 15 year break even. Awesome. The longest ROI I think I've ever put money on. If I had just waited a couple years I could've done led's instead. Still a long ROI but more likely to be real.

The new longer lasting light bulbs don't seem to last any time at all - but maybe it's our grumpy older fixtures burning through them.

Ahhh, sweet! Yeah, I saw that. I couldn't make it though. I thought you were going to babysit the house while E is away LOL!
 
Hope everyone is well. We made it yesterday but the phone signal here isn't great. I figured out next to the fireplace gets ok signal though.

Besides the internet... Excellence! Ate fried catfish, huge sausage, baked beans, potato salad for dinner tonight yummy!

The house is nice, the wife really likes it. I'm loving all the space outside.

Tomorrow going to do some archery shooting, 4 wheeling, swimming, may even hit the creek and try bow fishing. Father caught a 46" gar this morning. Head shot. I was invited to go... But had to finish unloading this morning... Won't miss out if they go tomorrow though.

Anyway just checking in really. I'll definitely be online way less now... But I'll be reading through as I get chances.
 
Good to see ya' Woody! Glad the move has gone smoothly and that you escaped.

Hope you can get the interwebs connection straightened out - though it sounds like it won't happen for quite some time.

Yea I miss reading the snark... late night especially. But I should have some form of better connection within a week or so.

During the days I got a lot I can do, that I like to do, for pretty much or completely free.. So it's quite possible even after I get connection I'll be offline most of the time during the days.

I was never an internet person until I was stuck in philly hell lol. But I got lotsa love for you guys so I'll still be around to shoot the shit when I can!
