Bose/Case yearly releases

Thanks for the info Tony. And thanks for giving us a chance to "get a piece of you". I truly appreciate it.

Eric

Yes, the blades and springs are surface ground. The blades are also fitted with a bushing.

One last question for Tony, if I may;

I had heard that all of the steel (blade, springs, liners, bolsters, shield, tumbler) on the 2014 lockback wharncliffe whittler is 154 CM. Is this true? And what about the pins? And other releases?

Thanks again for any info.

The blades and springs and tumbler are 154cm, the liners,bolsters, and shield are 410 stainless. Not sure what the pins are. Ill find out.

The regular production knives like the trapper and BackPocket they are doing now only the blade is EDM wire cut. On the yearly collab I do with them all the parts are wire cut including the shield and bolsters, liners, blades and springs. I take no offence to this. I know that most people don't understand what goes in to these yearly knives. The cost of producing them is much higher than a regular production knife. It gives somebody a chance to get a piece of me at a fraction of what one from me would cost. These are very good knives, the best Case ever made I think.

I appreciate your understanding at was I was getting at Tony. Didn't mean to come off like a jerk or something but sometimes it's hard in a post to get across what was meant. I have a three of the previous collabs of yours, with the next one on preorder, so I do appreciate the opportunity to take advantage of your working with Case to make a semi-custom piece.

And Case does a very nice job on these and was only meaning that I think a run or two with a bit better steel and an extra touch of QC would make folks happy. Maybe not. What do I know? Lol. I'm guessing it's pretty tough to maintain the balancing act between the business side, and trying to anticipate customers desires. Particularly in the knife business which isn't as broad a market.

Thanks!
