Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend too, Vince!
Thanks for posting...been a tad too quiet!

Yep, kinda quite, Just mapping out my entrance to exhibition hall at Blade, what door I am going in and headed straight to table 1-H. Pity the man or woman that is between me and that table. Massive force of 300+ pounds full steam ahead, just hope my brakes work.;)

The corporate execs at RPBM (Ro-pop Blue Meat) sometimes find themselves getting a little bored, what with most of the office activity consisting of sharpening our putter skills, deciding which knife to buy next, and counting the money rolling in from the roadkill jerky empire we manage.

Hence, we dream up ways to amuse ourselves. One of our recent hedonistic projects has been to have a little "in house" passaround. Mike Robuck and I were talking one day (his people contacted my people), and he told me he had not handled a Tom Krein knife yet. So I sent him one to play with for awhile. When it came back from Colorado, it was travelling with this fine little fixed blade by Tony Bose. I had never had a chance to handle a custom Bose before. Well, for the past couple of weeks it has been my privilege to have this beautiful wharncliffe desk knife as my house guest. Mike calls it a desk knife...I like to think of it as my visiting Tuxedo Deanimator.

It will soon be leaving the shores of NW Arkansas, and heading to the world capitol of jerked teriyaki armadillo, otherwise known as Thomasonville. I don't think he knows yet, so don't tell him. I wouldn't doubt that before it returns to Colorado, it makes a visit to the Smokey Mountains, the home of the bluest blue meat.

Isn't it a beauty? The Paul Long leather ain't exactly chopped liver either. I might have shot a better photo, but I had jerky and camera in one hand, and a beer in the other, and my ol' dog Duke was plottin' to snag the jerky (he had his own beer).

Have a great holiday weekend Bose Ho's! :D

Fewpop,

Nice pic of the desk knife I really like the shield

Have a restfull weekend bosehos, cause next weekend is gonna be great.

That Robuck fella's a pretty good guy for a roadkill jerky corporate exec type.

Better not hold on to that too long, Ford. The fever's incurable as far as I know. ;)

Can't wait to see what the boys from Wilfred Works have for us to feast our eyes on next week!

Who can rest? I'm ready to pack the bags and cart the pooch off to doggie daycare right now!
(Though I must admit I missed the dang PITA last year. (Referring to the dog here, lest there be any misunderstanding. ;))

I was gonna say "I was there last year Blues", guess I have been trumped.

Trumped? I ain't fallin' for that smooth Southern charm, James. ;) :p

Let's just concentrate all of our good karma (or what there is of it at least) on having some of our own have their names pulled from the magic cards this year. That would be a trump really worth something!

Elliott,Last year, when your name was called, was that the first Bladeshow you went to ?
I was just wondering,I was thinking about that,that was pretty lucky,either way.That must've been a good feeling,huh?
Good luck to all of you. But,either way,it's gonna be a good weekend

No, Vince, I've been to several in the past but it was the first in a few years, and it was also the first time I'd ever entered a drawing at one. You could've knocked me over with a feather when my name was called.

(I took Canine Forge (Joe) around to a few tables and I think he ended up winning three knives. Plus I pulled Gus' name from Chamblin's drawing (and it wasn't even rigged. ;))

I meant to inquire in my recent post:

If Bastid gets to have Blues and Gig dress in drag to increase his odds on the Bose drawing, can't I send my inflatable RPBM secretary to stand in for myself?? I think Mike would be willing to tote her around for me. ;)

That's cool,that's pretty freakin' lucky.Maybe you'll do it again,this year.
So,what would be,out of the ones we know about, like, your ultimate winning drawing knife ?
Man,I like a few of 'em,how could you not,right?
It's like if someone asked,do you like that pattern? Well,I may never have ever thought about a swell center balloon four blader, but shute,I could be really easily converted. Great knives !!

PS I'm typing slow,I am tired, but this is in response to Elliott

Vince,

I forget what the heck's gonna be on the table. Somebody have the list handy?

I'd be thrilled to win any, but if that cattle pattern is there I'd love a shot at that one.

Last year, I was so taken aback by winning, I never even thought to discuss the idea of trading with any of the others who got a knife. As it turned out Fast Eddie and I were able to do a trade after the show which is how he got the whittler and I ended up with the sowbelly.
