Bose Knives

This is the only stag saddlehorn I have seen from Tony in the year and a half I have been shooting Bose knives. It's difficult to find good stag that will fit a knife of this size so it's a bit of a rare bird. This one sports D2 blades and springs and the usual nicely finished stainless steel. IMHO...this is a museum quality piece, my friends. but what the heck do I know. :) (knife porn that you can swim in...be patient)

Ok, that did it, Somebody is going to die for that piece. If KH did not keep it after shooting it, he is off his rocker, that knife would pay all my bills for a year.
Great Knife and Great Shots, thanks for sharing. I am going to bed now, all :grumpy: just because I don't have that one.
Thanks a lot Kerry.:p

So here is something I have noticed about the difference b/w father and son knives. Reese's shields have sharper edges, while Tony's are more round. Just my take on things.

Campbell,I don't think so,at all. Look through this whole thread from the start.

I'd venture to say, that particular shield is a variation,or repro,by Tony,of one from an old knife somewhere

Yankee man...how dare you question my god-like knowledge of the knife that is bose (totally kidding). I'm actually just referring to federal and bomb shields. Compare Reese's on this site v. Tony's and you will see that most of Reese's are a lot sharper than Tony's. Even take a look at the latest picture of all of your knives that you posted. I'm not being difficult, I'm just being bored on Bourbon and there's nothing good on TV...so why not start a debate :)

Uh,I don't know Campbell,but I've seen a few

I'm sure there is variation, just not sure witch way

These two are owned by a Father & Son who carry thier Bose knives.
One is a Tony & one a Reese. The shields look,uh,I don't know,close,right ? "Just sayin"

You win Vince. I give it to you that not 100% are like I said. Now you've done it...I'm taking the first flight up there to sing "I wish I was in Dixie" until your neighbors have a hissy fit and throw sodie pop and bratwurst at your window until you decide to come to nashville and karaoke Hank Williams Jr.. One example I can think if is post 1570 v. 2541.

Too funny Campbell.Hey,so I won your Ivory Swayback,cool !

You won my Ivory Swayback only if Riad turns my offer down for three T. Bose knives in exchange for my one Ivory Swayback :) Just depends on how much someone loves snow in the summer...

I think right about now Riad has his horns tucked in & has some tusk on the brain.
In the A.M,Tony will verify, that shield is a variation of a double bombshell shield,I'm sure of it.I think :D

that is indeed museum quality
I've not seen a nicer knife...for a night I shall dream of this Stag Beauty...
and awake to shovel snow

Stunning.

Cnasty and Vince, you're both picking up on the difference between the shields. Some of the shields are hand made and copied from a hardened template by filing around a blank until you have an exact duplicate of the original. Those shields usually have sharper points.

Some of the shields that Tony has are made to be inserted into milled recesses. Those shields typically have radiused corners and appear to be somewhat smooth when compared to the others.

Kerry,

Great picts of the Staggish Saddlehorn! Hmmmm..So..What museum is going to get this one?? :D

Wow is right. Congrats, Randy. I think Tom would want you to give me a Bose knife now.

Way to go Tom and Cookie. Killer grinds on that knife.

How old is it?
