Bose Knives

(I have Reese's Sowbelly in my back pocket today. And yesterday Tony's BP was so placed. Either or both of them will be available when they are pried from my cold dead fingers. ;) )

See ya at Blade next year my brother, if not sooner. (I'll be the one with the pliers :D).

Kent,I know you guys are breakin' horns ,I can take it,but while your waiting on your order from Reese, think on it,when you finally get it,are you gonna put it in a box,or a pouch, carry the knife and enjoy it

Someone go copy and paste that Boogie's knife thing again.

Gus, Gus, Gus, that's just plain cold. LOL!!!

And since we're getting down to the reality here,I just want to touch on another subject
In another Forum,I posted a thread with a picture of that Swayback I have. Some guy came in there, and started whining about how he had knives on order with Tony since the beginning of time, and were never filled.
Well I didnt go testical on him (clue),but I could not help myself to wonder, perhaps the guy was a Horses Ass,and that's why his orders were never filled,You Think ??

Might just be. Best thing is to ask and wait in line.

Vince,

I think it's a bit of a delicate situation but here's how I look at it:

Makers are not robots and are entitled to some time off and some leeway.

I know of one very well known knifemaker (not associated with Tony or Reese) who would justify making knives "out of order" for some friends or associates by saying that they did so on their own time when they were "off the clock" as it were. "After-Hours" knives if you will.

When Tony was good enough to make me a knife a few months ago I knew that he could face complaints of that sort and for that reason I asked him if it was okay to post pictures and a thread about the knife (which most of you have read). He said it was okay and that I didn't have to fudge as though I had been waiting years for the blade.

I respected Tony for standing up to any potential criticism that that might engender but again, I look at what he did as being outside the norm and something he did on his own time.

As long as makers meet their obligations and keep their promises and haven't taken money up front and/or broken promises, I don't think they have to apologize for being human.

In your case, Vince, I can't see anybody complaining about how you got that knife as all makers who attend shows such as Blade work toward bringing a number of pieces to the show so that those who attend get a chance to own one.

I can't think of how Tony and Reese could have made it more fair to get a chance at one of their knives than they did with their lottery system.

I'm definitely in agreement with all this. But there are a few sides to these stories, and I could not help think of what the other side to it was.
If he was so upset about never getting his Bose knife, why not call Tony, istead,he whined to everyone about it,on a forum.
My gut feeling on it(and a big'un,too)...Horses Ass

CARRY'EM

Well Vince, without naming names I think we all know some horse's asses that already own (several) Bose knives. So that may not be it.

(And that's all I have to say about that and readily admit that I may be one of those ponies myself. <g>)

Elliott,
I never said anyone complained about HOW i got that knife, the guy actually praised Tony, but he whined about how His orders were never filled.
It had nothing to do with where that knife wound up.
Just wanted to clear this up

I apologize if I come off like ,well, whatever, let's have fun with no pouches, and carry your Bose knives proudly,OK ?
BTW,my balls are in a pouch.

OK, now that this over, at least I think it is, NOW can I post pictures of my Bose knives wearing the cute little sweaters that I knitted for them?

And the other day I found two gray spots on the blade of one of my Bose knives. I ran screaming through the house while holding my vagina in one hand and said knife in the other. Just sayin’
