I don't know the "official" name for the shield. I've heard Bullock, Ball Sack, Keyhole... But 'round here we just call it the SCHWAAAANG Shield. Hope this helps!

On a Panama Trapper that type of shield is called a cojones shield. Just sayin'.

This knife sports some dynamite dark-green bone that's dyed and jigged by Shigeru Tozaki, a master cutler in his own right and admirer of Tony's knives. You can see Shigeru's work at http://www8.ocn.ne.jp/~s-tozaki/
