Bose Knives

I don't know the "official" name for the shield. I've heard Bullock, Ball Sack, Keyhole... But 'round here we just call it the SCHWAAAANG Shield. Hope this helps!

On a Panama Trapper that type of shield is called a cojones shield. Just sayin'.

With that said,I think I'll call it a "Stugots" shield ,then

Outstanding Zulu Vince and Tony. Congrats and thanks much for sharing the process.

Well, I'm a kind person and all and I hate to make others suffer and so on but once Mr. Bose sets those blades on their handles and sends them over to me, then I'll post pictures for you to have the riddle solved. How about that...

Way to go, Juan!;)

This knife sports some dynamite dark-green bone that's dyed and jigged by Shigeru Tozaki, a master cutler in his own right and admirer of Tony's knives. You can see Shigeru's work at http://www8.ocn.ne.jp/~s-tozaki/

Here is the Shigeru Tozaki Rendition of the same pattern that he just recently completed. He also did the engraving. Be sure to stop by his table at the Blade Show and say hello to him.
