Bose Knives

Wow. What an amazing knife. I can't imagine what it would be like to own that.

Incredible! I wonder how much that costs.

More than a swiss army knife and less than a house ;)

It might depend on the house I would assume.;)
That is one incredible knife. I don't think I've seen one I like better.

I'm the proud owner of one Tony Bose' knife. I bought it off the table of Les Robertson at Blade Show in 2004. I did stop by Tony's table and asked what he could tell me about the knife. He said it was a knife form back in the 80's and a pattern he didn't make any more. He thought the stag looked great, I had to agree. ;)

All I can say is why would one quite making a knife like this. I am a fan of single blade knives. Unless there is one in there not pulled out. And look at that handle and think how it would fill your palm just right. Man where is the money?? :D

Gott love it.

When you buy a Tony Bose knife these days, can you be assured that it is a 100% hands on produt of Tony Bose or are there fingerprints of others -- say his son Reese -- on them?

Absolutely 100% made by Tony. Same with Reese 100%.
One exception would be the father & son knife 1123 trapper and only 10 of them were made.

Now why would you ask that question? When the old dog gets to feeble to belly up to the grinder I'll pack it in. Hiring someone to make it with my stamp on it doesn't do it for me.

I've known Mr. Bose since 1991 and whenever I get anything from him I know that it is coming from a man of the utmost integrity and kindness. Moreover, I know of no one who loves and cares for knives as much as Mr. Bose, and who is especially proud of the knives he makes, knives he makes to perfection is every single respect.

Well said Juan.I'll add,if it were not made by Tony, you would know it.Think about that

I was not implying that you would hire someone to make a product and then put your name on it -- not at all. I was just wondering with the two of you (you and your son) in the same shop if perhaps maybe polishing or minor details might not be overlapped from maker to maker on rare occasions.

Hey, you let Kerry take pictures some of the fingerprints might be his. :D

That's a fair question because most people don't know how the knives are made and finished. This isn't mass production. They are made one at a time after the blades and springs are cut out, pulls cut, stamped, and heat treated. Both guys are busy enough working on their own knives there's no time (or reason, for that matter) to be working on each others knives.

Tony and I just got finished fixing one of the band saws and my finger prints are all over that dang thing. Karen's are too because she broke it :D.
