Bose Knives

Here are some pics of what Tony currently has in his back pocket. A Remington Bullet from the 1920s that he re-bladed with A2. Good for another 90 years now.

Tony,

As I understand, Napanoch bone is repurposed from old Remington knives. Please school me how Napanoch bone differs from other Remington bone.

Interesting that yours and mine are similar but mine has a half stop. This is a 4" W/T with 440V and orange fibermascus. Thanks to John Hanlon for helping me make this happen. You don't see many of these.

That is absolutely gorgeous!!

I have a major thing for orange handled knives, and own a few of them (including a Bogie Cobra with orange-peel bolsters and orange scales), and that one would fit in real nice. :D Color me green.

Oh, and Hanlon is da man.

Congrats!

3.5" Napanoch bone teardrop gents ICCE knife

John I'm looking forward to seeing that knife. Really nice photos.

John the Napanoch bone has nothing to do with Remington. It is from the Napanoch Knife Co in Napanoch ,NY. They were bought out by Winchester in 1919. A couple years later some former employees bought the plant and started the Honk Falls Cutlery Co which made knives there till it burned down in 1929. There was a former employee that made Napanoch knives into the 1930s in a barn He was killed in an accident and that was the end of it. They were very high quality knives.

Thanks for the clarification and history lesson. It's a great gent's knife.

Always love seeing your photos, John, and the photos of that teardrop are no exception. Top notch shots of a top notch knife. The inspector badge is nifty, and now I've got Johnny Cash stuck in my head.

As usual beauties.

Built on a Joseph Rodgers' frame( I don't know where you would find one):
