Bose Knives

Wow! That's gorgeous, Kerry. I really like the flat grind and the gimping. Awesome stag too!

That is a very nice knife. I predict the resurgence of interest in lock backs in the foreseeable future.

Just got this in a couple days ago, I'm fairly new to traditionals collecting but I can already see the quality coming out of the Bose shop... Anyway without further ado, my 3.5" Trapper in Micarta and D2:

Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!

I'm kind of over the whole "collecting knives as an investment" thing. Should I or shouldn't I? I mean it is a whittler.....

You should Campbell ;)
Still loving this coffin, I think this photo translates some of how nice Reese's work is. Just got onto his ledger/books. Great guy to talk to, very nice and helpful with what he needed for my placement. Now the long wait begins. :)

That's some fantastic stag on the fixed blade by Reese Aaron, what a nice piece~
Thanks, Tim. I have a few other pics of it floating around out there. I've been enjoying the pics of that CJ also. I'm going to have to head to Wilfred Works to see how they get them to float like that.

Haha be sure to show Reese the photos I've taken of his coffin jack ;) I'm not sure if they'll appreciate the trickery I've used on it though D:

Aaron, I have a big appreciation for custom fixed blades and that thing is awesome! What is the name of that pattern and what is the size measurements on it? Sorry if that was posted earlier somewhere..

I know it is hard to believe but, this being a relatively new pattern at Wilfred Works and all, this is Reese's first one of this pattern. I know what you're thinking...everybody and their uncles are making this pattern now so what's up with that. You'll have to ask them where they got their pattern. It seems like these things aren't cool until the Old Dog makes them :D

A couple of signature items with the original R-1306 is the flat grind, gimping and radius on the spine of the blade, and fiber (micarta)blade stop in the end of the trough so that it doesn't mar the tip of the blade when closing.

The nut doesn't fall far from the tree and believe me, Reese is a big nut. :p

I love the lines on the bullet shield that cross the shield. So many shields, like the acorn, are missing lines that are there on the real thing. This shield really jumps out at you. Great overall shape to the knife too.

Thanks, Jsega51. I was told it's called a swinger. OAL is 6 1/4".
