Bose Knives

Some years back, I bought a Case/Bose collaboration pruning knife.
I was impressed by the quality, but also by the pattern. As many know, I am fond of purpose-built working knives, and when I can afford one, I will see if I can entice a good maker into creating one. That collab stirred the old knife-lust, but when Tony stopped taking orders, I kinda back-burner'ed my chances of getting one of his Pruners - - - sigh.

Imagine my surprise when this one showed up in my mail box!!!
I was a hootin' and a-hollerin' down the highway, I can tell you!!

This knife puts the lie to the statement that "no knife can be perfect"!!
A killer piece, riding around in my pocket since it got here!!

(I'm going to have to get one of those "girlie-pouch" dispensations/licenses or whatever they are! I'm not ready to toss it in with the keys just yet!!)

That is an incredible knife Charlie. I'm especially impressed by how the stag's figure matches the contours of the frame.

Nice barlow.

I have seen only a few bose barlows.

Even more rare/ rarer are those with the wilfred works stamp .

I like the swedge on the spear blade and the jigged bone.

Thanks Toppygray82 👍🏻
Want to find one with sawcut bone and I think Tony may have one at Blade. Maybe I'll get lucky 😀

The bone on that one is awesome! Very cool color to it.

Thanks Jake. I do like this bone [emoji1303]. Just always think of saw cut bone when I think of a Barlow. Can't really go wrong with either from Wilfred Works!!

I've been eyeing those, Vince. Just a little too big for my pants pocket. Maybe I need some bigger pockets or make a point to carry it when the weather requires a jacket or coat. I like the jimping a lot. That's a nice one you've got there.

As you can see, I'm looking for a reason to get one!

Cheapo Wrangler carpenter jeans from Walmart. I fit a knife that size standing straight up n down,in the watch pocket ! The seam side of the pocket that runs with vertical pants seam is tall enough.

But in warmer temps cargo shorts side knife pocket

Here is a pair of Sawcut-handled Barlows, one-blade by Tony, and two-blade by Kerry Hampton.

Thanks John, Apollo and TxJohn!!
I feel honored, and humble to have them!
Tony and Kerry posted them on BF, and I pounded my keyboard through the desk writing to them to see if they were sold!!
Turns out they were playing a joke!! I think they wagered money on how long it would take me to message them!! (It wasn't long!!)
These fine gentlemen had made them as a pair with me in mind, but didn't tell me until I made my pitch (sort of like a grovel!!):o
They know how to pull my chain!!
