Bose Knives

Happy New Year! to you too Todd. May you keep making great knives for many years to come.

I have to say a big "Thank you" as well to Tony and Reese for letting me hang out and learn from them and genuinely having the best times...making knives, shootin the bull, and cuttin up. :D

A couple of Tony and Reeses Whittlers and their handy work:D:

I have a weakness for the congress pattern. Beautiful knives.

Mike, unless my tired old eyes deceive me it looks like a congress whittler.

The carvings look like Kachina or Fetish Dolls but I'm not an expert in that area by any means.

I thought of Kachina dolls as well. I think they're done by Zuni and Hopi?

You're right, that is a congress frame, but I could only see three blades. Must be my new bifocals.

Fantastic Whittling DP
I have to agree with Kerry on the pic of the year..
that knife might have to be rescued on account of cruel and indecent exposure..
not sure if toe jam spreader is a deserved fate for such a beauty:p

I caught Reese doing the finishing touches on the sheath for this knife and shot these before it left the shop. Reese told me to wait till after Christmas before I posted it because it was going to be a gift:) It was made for a lady and the sheath is meant to be slipped beneath a garter. :D

The knife is 7.5" OAL with N/S guard and hidden tang. I couldn't remember the blade thickness and steel used so and will report back with that info later but I think it is 1/4" A-2 or D-2.

Sexy! ;) Is the handle Ivory,or synthetic?
As always Kerry,Thanks for showing it to us,
-Vince

Ah ,I see at the top,Ivory. You know,I'm practicing speed on my replies for when the right Bose comes available "I'll take it" lol!

It's ivory. I shot that at the shop with indirect light coming into the window. It looks like the light washed it out a bit but that particular piece of ivory is very light. Maybe I can play with the images a bit and find some grain. I'll look at the images directly from my camera and see what I can do.

Meanwhile back at the ranch....I looked the originals over and there isn't anything better that shows any grain in the ivory.

Putting a plastic handle on that dagger would be like a plastic saddle on a horse or whipped cream on a pizza. Just wouldn't work.
