Vince, the xx prototype is some old german red bone. Don't know what its called. The plain ole prototype has some old Case bone.. peachseed? My understanding is that Tony got it directly from someone at Case.
 
I knew I had seen that LB Saddlehorn before. See Post #253. I bet Randy, and Blues, and Fasteddie have all handled that knife at the coon fingerin session last year. :)

Both knives are gorgeous.A really nice pattern for a pocket knife.
 
Yea but, all the divots and random cuts in that bone is so unsightly, and Earth tones bring me down. :(

Have been lucky enuff over the past month to add a couple terrific new Tony and Reese knives to the collection. Many thanks to a couple of my buddies out there for putting me onto these beauties - you both know who you are!!

The Tony Swayback is D2 and 3.25"

The Reese 2 Blade Trapper is ATS-34 and also 3.25"

Terrific stag on both and a very close match between the knives.

IMHO a very nice "father and son" combination that i am sooo pleased to own!!
