BOSS Jack vs Satin Jack

I just noticed something in Jaxx's last pic that I had not seen before. The curve behind the talon hole on the BJ is more acute than on the SJ. Combined with the shorter ricasso, one's grip is closer to the work with the BJ.

between that and the feel of the handle...I like the palm swell and the part smooth, part machined micarta... I actually prefer the BOSS Jack in hand over the SJ. It'll make a great user.

Call me green with envy... I'm gonna go cry a bit now... :(

I came to this same conclusion. IMO this BOSS Jack is a definite improvement on the original and I love the handle.

Now all we need is one in satin/black paper and I will be in heaven.:cool:

Does this mean you'll not be needing your original SJ anymore Jaxx? If so just give me a jingle, :D:D

That's the best comparison I've seen in a while cousin ;)
And You didn't even have to use them
Now I'm really mad at myself for not even taking part in the ganza :grumpy: What was I thinking...? :o
Congrats on Your score

Great Pix !

There is only one thing extra on your Boss Jack Proto - Choil:D

I can't wait for my Boss Jack Proto with no choil. I have only one Busse- CGBWM.
Boss Jack will be my grail.

Got mine yesterday. Beautiful knife, and better than expected.
Yep, it feels a bit blade heavy. Love the choil, though. Wish I had one on my Fallkniven A1.
As for the grip, I have small/medium hands and STILL find it too thin. I prefer the fuller grip of the A1.

Without your scientific measurements to go off, those two blades appear remarkably similar from a side profile pic. very cool. thanks for the pics!

The postscript to the story is that I sold the knife within 36 hours of receiving it, quickest that I ever dumped a Busse. If you know me, you know I prefer thin for smaller knives. BOSS Jack is just too stout for me.

I thought you might, knowing you from your posts. I feel the same way. You're not a flipper, you've just got standards, and they MUST be obeyed. Thanks for the great analysis of the knife.
