Botach Tactical finally bit me!

Count me in as one of Botach's latest victims. I ordered some Glock pistol magazines from Botach on April 7. They did not send one of the magazines I ordered, a Glock 22 magazine. I notified them of this problem but have never received either the magazine nor a refund. Therefore, I have just finished a letter requesting my credit card company to reverse the charges for the magazine.

I can't believe this company has actually put my e-mail in their sale notification list, as if I would actually be stupid enough to order from them again!
 
I'll probably also send a complaint to the California Consumer Affairs office (or whatever they call it there). While those of us who are wise enough to use our credit cards can always get our money back, such businesses should still be reported to the authorities. There are a lot of people who don't realize they have any recourse to get a refund, or just don't want to bother with it. A dishonest company can make a lot of money off such people. Also, businesses who operate as does Botach drive up the cost of credit, by requiring credit card company employees to spend a lot of man hours reversing charges.

I've been pretty lucky. My few mail orders with Botach have been good. Fortunately, I live close enough to pick up in person and that's how I normally do business with them...
