Botach Tactical

This is everyone's oft-repeated excuse for doing business with them. But the problem is that it's easy to have incredible prices when the $10 you saved came out of the pocket of the last guy they ripped off...

(Not picking on you tntxfour. That's why I took your name out of the quote.;))

Yeah well, I have Sebenzas for sale at $199.95. Sure, you can order one but you're not gonna get it. ;) :p

I think when people are buying something they should ask themselves this question.
"Why is this so cheap?"

The sad thing is the 3 or 4 times I ordered from them previous to this, it went great. The fact is all companies screw up from time to time. The true test of any great business is how they handle the screw up. I would have to say with Botach, their customer service was non-existent. They did not answer my phonecalls or emails or even returned my calls when I left voice mails. Trust me, I learned my lesson and that $75 I "saved" by shopping with them was quickly lost when you factor in all the time and effort I spent trying to contact them and utimately with the credit card company to resolve the issue.

I think most of the problem with Botach is their inventory system. Probably true of a lot of companies today that do not carry a lot of inventory on hand and rely on drop shipments from manufacturers. They simply do not have a lot of what they advertise in stock at the time you order it. Order something in stock at the time you place your order and you luck out. Order something out of stock and the nightmare begins.

No no no, the problem is that they're lying thieving scumbags.

i have been to their "store" quite a few times.

yes, their inventory system looks rather haphazard. mostly just stuff on shelves or in crates stacked up to the ceiling. i dont know how they find stuff in there, but they do.

ive never ordered online from them, but every time ive walked in they have in stock what is on the site and they are able to find the items quickly.

the vast majority of online reviews are terrible, and i certainly put stock in the reviews i read here. i also know from firsthand experience that i can get what i want by walking in. i can inspect the item and generally get it much cheaper than anywhere else.

conclusion? well, if you're a cop, you can walk in and buy stuff. if you're not, don't ever buy anything from them online.
